INTAGE Thailand Leads Panel on “The Power of Wellness Economy” at Thailand Marketing Day 2025
On 28 November 2025, Dr. Dangjaithawin Anantachai, Executive Chairman of INTAGE Thailand, was invited to lead a high-level panel discussion at Thailand Marketing Day 2025 under the theme “Prompt the Future: The Power of Wellness Economy.”
One of the key insights shared during the session addressed a critical national challenge: although Thai people have an average life expectancy of 77 years, they experience only 67 years of good health. Dr. Dangjaithawin emphasized the importance of understanding this 10-year gap and posed a thought-provoking question why has increased longevity not translated into an extended health span?
CEO of Bangkok Dusit Medical Service PCL. provided further perspective, noting that the gap is largely driven by unhealthy lifestyle patterns and a healthcare system that remains reactive rather than preventive. The panel also traced the evolution of wellness from Wellness 1.0 to Wellness 5.0, highlighting a shift toward a human-centered, holistic wellness paradigm.
The discussion underscored Thailand’s strong potential to become a leading destination in the global wellness economy and wellness tourism. This potential is anchored in what the speakers described as Thailand’s “Wellness Advantage with Impact,” built on three pillars:
- Science – evidence-based health solutions
- Service – world-class hospitality and care
- Soul & spirituality – cultural foundations that nurture balance and inner wellbeing
Together, these pillars reinforce a national opportunity to help individuals extend their health span and lead longer, healthier, and more meaningful lives.
